Severance Band Members

Matty Yeats

Vocals

A unique and alluring talent, Matty Yeats adds heart and soul to Severance. His oblique view of the world enables Matty to write lyrics with such depth and perspective, that demands Severance songs are listened to again and again.

Tom Nolan

Guitar

Enigmatic and mysterious, little is known about Tom Nolan. A powerhouse lead and rhythm guitarist, who lends his awesome talent to Severance and Silk Spinster, Tom’s virtuosity is a force to be reckoned with.

Greig Cardwell

Bass

Greig Cardwell provides a solid bass backbone to Severance, with thumping beats and melodic intricacy, intertwined to complement Severance’s songs perfectly. Be it grindcore, sludge or speed metal, Greig’s bass is the solution.

Ian Squian

Drums

A seasoned veteran, Ian’s metal, punk, goth and even jazz roots amalgamate to make an eclectic drumming style. Somehow, this experience salad works to satisfy the various dynamics of Severance music.

Since 2021, Severence have rocked Hull and East Yorkshire with a tight set of exquisite heavy metal. After some successful gigs, Severance experienced a few line up changes while the band was evolving; however, they have settled on a stable line up with Matty delivering his trademark soaring vocals, Tom playing lead and rhythm guitar with virtuosity, Greig providing a solid backbone on bass and Ian backing up on drums.

Severance stand with Joshua’s Light. We stand with The Sophie Lancaster Foundation. And we stand with any band that gives a damn about more than just noise.

If you’re not backing your community, get out of the pit.
